RCKRtty is a GUI based application for logging and administration of RTTY, PSK31, PSK63, Pactor, Amtor and CW QSOs. It also features a contest mode — which can be used with standard modes.
The program supports many modems, some of them being equipped with sound — others without, and some of them can even be used with a sound card. The program supports both the SCS and AEA analog mode. The signals are recorded as DCDL/STD and can be cut into files. If the ‘MFJ1278’, ‘HAL-DXP38’ or ‘KAM’ modems are used, the data can be recorded via the data input of the analog front end. The data is stored in database.
RCKRtty has a main window, a programming window and a logging window with the stored data. Additionally, the data can be plotted in png and csv format.

The core of the program is written in Java.
The GUI interface to RCKRtty is designed to be user-friendly and to allow for integration of the many features of the program. The main part of the program is located in the main-application. All the parts which control the operation of packet radios are located in the radio-control-application.
The idea is to load the radio-control-application into a ‘partition’, once and be able to restart it without having to start a whole new application.
